City Mayor Karla Patricia Ruiz Macfarland, continuing with the fulfillment of the commitments made during the delegation visits, delivered electronic tablets to two outstanding students, so that they can continue with their education in the new normality.
The XXIII City Hall of Tijuana, through the Municipal Public Education Secretariat (SEPM) has deployed different supports, focused on promoting the autonomous learning of students. The stimulus program "For a Digital Education", has served specifically to provide an answer to those who lack the necessary equipment to continue their studies.
During the month of July of this year, through this program, it was possible to deliver 600 tablets to Tijuana's elementary school students. On this occasion, the recipients were Yunuen Natanael and Antony Vicente, who were accompanied by their families. Yunuen's father, Gabriel, and Antony's mother, Faviola, also attended the celebrations of the first woman mayor in the delegations, in order to make their request, in favor of the welfare of their children.
"I truly hope that it will help them to be able to use these tablets to attend their classes. I am sure they will be able to share them with friends and family, but above all they will serve to increase their quality of learning. The children of Tijuana are our responsibility, and only by guaranteeing their education can we help them achieve their future goals," said Ruiz Macfarland.
