Mexico received this Wednesday, August 11, 585 thousand vaccines against COVID-19 from Pfizer, being the 18th shipment to arrive at Terminal 1 of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM).

The shipment arrived on a flight from Cincinnati, United States. This delivery brings the total number of doses sent by the pharmaceutical company to 26 million 967 thousand 525.

In total, Mexico has received 92 million 111 thousand 35 doses from the different pharmaceutical companies.

Now that vaccination has advanced in Baja California, local authorities report that 77.33% of the population is fully vaccinated, meaning that 2 million 84 thousand 562 Baja Californians have been immunized against the virus.

However, despite the progress in the state vaccination, this Monday, August 9, Baja California returned to Yellow on the Epidemiological Traffic Light; there are currently 823 active cases in the state, in contrast to the first days of July, when there were 396 active cases.
