The Delartment of Health (SSa) warned that history could repeat itself in Mexicali if the second Pfizer dose is not applied. Of the shipment that arrived yesterday in Baja California, 74 thousand 388 doses were destined for Mexicali and 4 thousand and 2 for Tijuana.
Dr. Pérez Rico informed that if Mexicali residents do not go to the vaccination posts, the Pfizer vaccines will be given to Tijuana.
The SSa informed that the vaccination in Tijuana has already ended, since the doses destined for the municipality have already been used up; while in Mexicali, a little more than 3 thousand doses have been administered out of the 74 thousand. Likewise, Pérez Rico explained that tomorrow, July 3, they will continue with the vaccination of second doses in Mexicali.
The Secretary of Health reminded the population that second doses of Pfizer are only being given to those who were vaccinated for the first time before June 1st.
Finally, the Secretary of Health mentioned that next week a shipment with important quantities of Pfizer will arrive to the state, which most of the doses will be for Tijuana and 4 vaccination points are planned in the municipality.
