Through social media, citizens expressed their anger after the Tijuana-San Diego border checkpoints were stopped without prior notice when they were waiting in line to enter the U.S. in the San Ysidro area.

In a video published by the Facebook account belonging to Tania Montoya in the group ''Cómo Está La Línea Oficial'', it can be seen how while she was waiting for her turn in a vehicle lane at the San Ysidro border crossing, the woman zooms in with her camera and it can be seen how the status of several lanes began to change from working to closed.

Users revealed that they spent more than 3 hours waiting for the reopening, which ended with some people arrested, so far the event that led to the arrestado is unknown, as well as the number of people who were involved in the incident.

Previously, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), Marcelo Ebrard, corrected the date announced by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) last May 17, when the U.S. agency mentioned that the restrictions will continue until June 21, specifying that in reality these measures will remain until the vaccination campaign concludes in U.S. territory.
