Mexico stands out for its gastronomic variety, and in recent years Baja California has earned a place at a national and international level in this sector.
Not only the dishes and chefs of this region have been recognized, but also its restaurants. 12 of these have been recently rewarded by the "Gastronomic Mexico Guide, The 120 Restaurants 2021 of Mexican Culinary", by Larousse Cocina.
Four of these are located in Tijuana: Caesar's, Casa Tijuana, Georgina and Misión 19; while in Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe the selected restaurants were Animalón, Deckman's en el Mogor, Fauna, Finca Altozano, Villa Torél, Madre, Manzanilla and Sabina Restaurante por la Guerrerense.
And yes Larousse is making them known, so who doesn't want to discover this and more of Baja California.
Such is the case of Harrison Ford, yes you read that right, the actor known for playing Indiana Jones and Han Solo, in the Star Wars classic, recently visited the Mission 19 restaurant in the border city last Friday March 5th.
In addition to this celebrity, YouTuber's such as Lalo Villar of "La Ruta de la Garnacha", and Alan X el Mundo, could not resist the temptation of an adventure through this territory.
Villar, as part of a tour of 12 Mexican states, wanted to start his route on March 4 where "the homeland begins", Tijuana. However, while in Baja California, he also chose to visit other municipalities and towns in this state known for their gastronomy, such as Valle de Guadalupe.
On the other hand, Alan por el Mundo, at the beginning of February and for three weeks, ventured to live both Baja Norte and Baja Sur, sharing places that you may not even know and that will surprise you.
And although these are just some of the celebrities who have come to Baja California and its surroundings this 2021, we know that the list is immense in previous years, and this thanks to its landscapes, wines, craft beer, signature food, history, places, among many other things, that have made it stand out.
