The Mexican Republic once again surpasses the daily record in coronavirus infections, now with 10 thousand and 3 new infections and 502 deaths registered in the last 24 hours alone.

These amounts give a total of 534 thousand and 39 positive cases and 133 thousand 706 deaths due to COVID-19.

Six states in the region have more than 70% hospital occupancy: Puebla (70%), Nuevo León (79%), Guanajuato (81%), Hidalgo (81%), State of Mexico (88%) and Mexico City at the top of the list with 92%.

Mexico has become the 4th country with most deaths due to the pandemic, placing it only behind India, Brazil and the United States, which have accumulated more than 374 thousand 8 deaths.

In contrast to the registered infections, the Ministry of Health also informed today in a press conference from the National Palace, one million 924 thousand 348 negative cases and one million 150 thousand 422 people who have managed to overcome the disease.

Recently, the presence of the new variation of coronavirus has been confirmed in Mexican territory, specifically in the state of Tamaulipas. The mutation was initially detected in the United Kingdom, authorities urge the population to follow health protocols previously indicated by the state governments.
