A graduate of the Faculty of Enology and Gastronomy of the UABC, Hugo Alejandro Lara López, was the winner of the Aarón Sánchez Scholarship Fund culinary competition whose prize is to carry out culinary studies in New York.
The contest was similar to the activity that takes place in a reality show where you cook against the clock with only a few elements and equipment at hand, so the winner will have demonstrated that he is capable of presenting innovative and creative dishes.
"I feel happy, I am sincerely a fan of learning and cooking. There is nothing better than doing both things, on a par with people with a background like chef Aarón Sánchez, and of course, grateful to life, to God and to the people who have been supporting and motivating me to follow my dreams," he said for the Gaceta Universitaria.
The competition aims to recognize the talent and potential of young people and was organized by the ASSIF foundation, led by chef Aarón Sánchez, which is dedicated to helping the new generations become leaders in the kitchen.
