Ensenada prepares for the Baja 1000 in November

The government of the municipality of Ensenada in Baja California, announced this Tuesday October 20 some details about the famous race Baja 1000 in its 53rd edition, which is scheduled from November 17 to 22 this year.
According to authorities, it was agreed with the organizers of this event, Score International, that on this occasion and because of the economic crisis that Ensenada is experiencing due to the pandemic, the route will begin and end in this port of the state.

"It seeks to generate an economic spill in the municipality, which is why it was agreed that the route of the competition begins and ends in Ensenada territory," the statement said.

Thus, the race that began in Ensenada and ended in La Paz, Baja California Sur, will remain in Baja Norte, so taking into account the COVID-19 disease, hygiene and safety protocols will be implemented, such as the location of the start and finish of the route, which will be outside the city and where only teams, staff and media will have access.

The above with the aim of providing confidence to visitors and residents of the municipality, as mentioned by the authorities.

In turn, the mayor of Ensenada said that it seeks to revive the economy of this municipality, so they believe it will contribute to this, because "at the beginning and end of the tour in Ensenada, the stay of the teams will be extended and thus will be greater benefits to the community," he said.
