These two neighborhoods in Tijuana have the highest number of active coronavirus cases

The border city totals 145 active cases, having more than 10 neighborhoods with COVID-19 transmission chains

The Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico released COVID-19 cases update in Baja California this Tuesday morning, August 25.

During this live transmission, Perez Rico pointed out the neighborhoods with active cases of coronavirus in Tijuana and the rest of the counties. The state now has 434 of these cases and the border city has registered at least 145 of that total.

According to information from the Secretary of Health, of the 12 neighborhoods with active cases in Tijuana, two have the most cases, Colonia Libertad with 5 cases and Ciudad Jardin with 4 cases.

The rest of the neighborhoods have 3 active cases each and are as follows:

- Salvatierra
- Pedregal Santa Julia
- Zona Rio
- Soler
- Lazaro Cardenas
- Lomas del Porvenir
- Lomas de la Presa
- Florido (1st sec.)
- Francisco Villa
- Villa del Real

In light of this, the Secretary of Health asked to moderate mobility and to focus on carrying out only essential activities.

In addition to these active cases, Baja California has 16 thousand 160 positive cases and 3 thousand and 44 deaths from COVID-19.

Despite the discouraging context, 9 thousand 270 Baja California natives have managed to fight the battle against the coronavirus, of which 2 thousand 108 are residents of Tijuana.
