Health Secretary Alonso Perez Rico reported during the update on cases of coronavirus in Baja California that the State Commission for Protection Against Health Risks (Coepris) conducted a health inspection of the Madero Brewery, located in the Cacho neighborhood of Tijuana.

"Derived from the observations (which the population indicated during a live transmission) the Health Secretary, specifically the Epidemiology Department, already has the authorization to accompany Coepris and exercise what has to be a medical health regulation in relation to the terms of how to handle the Covid," explained the Health Secretary.

This is how this brewery was visited and despite the fact that it had the COVID-19 protocols, the following anomalies were found:

In view of this and as a security measure, Perez Rico said, the brewery was temporarily suspended from its activities, in addition to securing the products mentioned.

"Based on these actions that we see here, they specifically conditioned this area, not the activity (he clarified), we are not going to close all activities. I say if we go and find this or they do not comply with their protocol we will absolutely shut it down," said the health expert.

The Health Secretary also mentioned that the visit to seven other places is pending, where access is only requested to confirm that the protocols against the current pandemic are being carried out to mitigate transmission chains.
