The National Water Commission and the National Meteorological Service of the Government of Mexico posted through their official account that the current status of the meteorological phenomenon known as "La Niña" is under "surveillance".
This is due to the fact that the chances of this phenomenon reaching Baja California are more than 50%. According to the overview published on the page: "La Niña is favored in the August - September - October 2020 quarter (with a 50 to 55% probability), continuing until the 2020-21 winter season (~50%)".
What is La niña like?
If you expect heavy rains you will be disappointed since this phenomenon is not similar to "El Niño", instead it causes a dry climate and little or no chance of rain for these months. If this is not to your liking, remember that it is almost a 50% chance that it will happen.
