With new infrastructure at “Molino Viejo“, San Quintín, the next weekend will be held the second stage of the international sport fishing championship “Pesca la Baja”. The contest promoted by the Secretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture has managed to attract nearly 200 competitors every year to this side of the Pacific Ocean, since this State Administration began.

This proposal was made by the President of the State himself, who, through sport fishing, wants to benefit the main tourist-nautical places of Baja California. The intention is to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of sport fishing in the State, and encourage the interest of fans, with better alternatives for recreation.

The Next Friday, August 30 will be the registration of participants from 12:00 to 18:30 hours, and at 19:00 hours will be the meeting of captains and formal inauguration of the event, with the expectation of competitors from the region and from the south of California.

On the next Saturday , August 31, the start of the competition is scheduled for the 06:00 hours of the day from the public ramp of “El Molino Viejo”, where the bascule will open from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the awards will be from 7:00 p.m. onwards.
