Study revelas that a male new birth control pill is safe

Males will be able to take birth control pills

According to a publication on Endocrine, a recent study revealed that the new birth control pill passed the a recent study revealed that the new male contraceptive pill passed safety and tolerability tests.

The experimental male oral contraceptive pill is a modified testosterone combined actions of a male hormone (androgen) and progesterone, said the study's lead researcher, Christina Wang, Associate Director of the Institute of Clinical Science and the Los Angeles (LA) BioMed).

The lead researcher on the project form LA BioMed and from the Unversity of Washington, in Seattle Washington. Ten participants for this project received a pill. Another 30 males received a dose of 11-beta-MNTDC, 14 of them received 200 milligrams, & another 16 received a400 MG dose. They took this pill once a day for 28 days.

The results of this Phase 1 project were presented at theEndocrine Society annual meeting on March 24th, 2019 in New Orleans.

Some participants did not have any kind of secondary effects said Wang even though only 4 out of 6 of them, did that included fatigue, acne, headaches. Five men reported a slight decrease in sexual desire, and two men described mild erectile dysfunction, but the sexual activity did not decrease, he said. In addition, no participant stopped taking the medication due to side effects, and all passed the safety tests.

These are very good news that will improve the sexual life of thousands of people. At least in six out of ten couples, women are those who resort to a method of contraception.
