Meet Dafne Almazán, the Mexican girl that got into Harvard at 17
This prodigy became a psychologist at the age of 13
Dafne Almazán is set to start in the Master Math for Teaching, in none other than Harvard University, becoming the first underage Mexican to ever enter Harvard, and the first minor to accomplish this goal in the last 100 years.
At Harvard, she will learn new techniques and models for becoming a Math teacher, and she hopes to help improve Mexico’s Math education.
Almazán will graduate in May 2020, at 18 years old. This will make her one of the few students who has obtained this degree at Harvard University, at such a young age and in such a short time.
Dafne’s career has been really impressive in many other ways. At the age of 6 she was part of the first generation of the Intellectual Empowerment Program of the Talent Care Center (CEDAT, for its initials in Spanish), and when she was 10 years she started her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, graduating at the age of just 13.
It is clear that the world has bigger plans for this Mexican prodigy and we couldn’t be more proud.
