The origins of folk dance in Mexico dates back to Mesoamerican times, where dances were used to appease or keep the Mayan and Aztec Gods happy.
Currently, this type of dance serves to represent the struggle, traditions and daily life of the Mexican regions and cities, something that is enjoyed worldwide and that serves as a means to honor what this country can offer the world.
For this and more, the CECUT has decided to bring to Tijuana the best folk dance in Mexico! The one that emerged thanks to Amalia Hernández, who was a dancer, choreographer and founder of the same.
This Folk Ballet will only have performances on Sunday May 27 in the concert hall. The first show will be at 6:00 p.m. and the other at 8:30 p.m.
A show where the cultural richness of Mexico, its legends, stories and images become an explosion of colors to the rhythm of the most beautiful melodies of this land, which accompany the impeccable dance technique and the elaborate typical costumes that characterize the company. This group dance has won more than 400 recognitions throughout their career.
Prices: $600.00 pesos or $31.00 or $800.00 pesos ($42.00)
