ROSARITO BEACH.-The Federal Commission for Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) was in charge of verifying the water quality in 267 beaches in Mexico, including Rosarito, and it turns out you can go enjoy it without being afraid of excessive contamination.
For this, Cofepris has analyzed the rates of bacteria Enterococcus faecalis (from human and animal feces) found in the water and discovered that these are the cleanest beaches in Mexico:
-Mazatlán
-Peace
-Vallarta Port
-Manzanillo
-Huatulco
-Tulum
-Women Island
-Cozumel
-Riviera Maya
-Rosarito
Three months ago, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) and Cofepris did an analysis where they highlighted Rosarito with the dirtiest beaches; however, it seems that their level of Enterococcus bacteria declined in these months, so now they are positioned as one of the best options to visit during this summer.
