France's prosecutors have confirmed that Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the man suspected of being the mastermind behind las Friday's Paris attacks, died during the Saint-Denis raids by police Tuesday morning.
They managed to identify the alleged mastermind of the Paris terror attacks thanks to prints from his fingers, palms, and the bottom of his feet. "Wednesday's raids had an objective and that objective was met", stated Bernard Cazeneuve, France's Minister of the Interior.
A non-European intelligence agency informed this past November 16 that Abdelhamid was in France and believed to be an important Daesh (ISIS) leader. In February of this year, Abaaoud had showed off how it easy it was for him to travel into and out of Europe.
"I was able to go and come back to Shām (Daesh's capilta) even to I was being searched by many intelligence agencies. My name and photo was all over the news and I was still able to stay in my home country, plan operations against them and flee safely when I had to".
