MEXICO. – Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores [SER] in Spanish), confirmed the deaths of two Mexican women, victims of the Paris terror attacks this past Friday night.

The statement doesn't disclose the names of the victims but does assure that the victims' families have been contacted and a formal request has been submitted to send back the victims' bodies to their country. Also it specified that both women had dual citizenship, one from Spain and the other a U.S. citizen.

"On behalf of the government of Mexico, the Foreign Ministry expresses its strongest condemnation of this evening's attacks in Paris, France, and deeply regrets the loss of life and the injuries caused by these unacceptable acts of violence.

Through the Mexican embassy in Paris, the Foreign Ministry is ready to address any eventuality that might arise in the Mexican community or with Mexican tourists in France as a result of these deplorable events.", reads the statement.

Furthermore, the young Mexican citizen wounded in the Paris terror attacks has been treated successfully and is recovering in a Parisian hospital.

"The Foreign Ministry reports that, by following its consular assistance protocols, it has identified a Mexican citizen who was wounded as a result of today's attacks in Paris.

The wounded Mexican is in a Paris hospital. Consular staff from the Mexican embassy report that the Mexican citizen is conscious, waiting to have three pieces of shrapnel removed from his back and to be treated for a foot injury. All required consular assistance has been offered to this individual. This Mexican citizen also holds an Austrian passport." says the statement.
