With Christmas season upon us, there are hundreds of Christmas- and winter-related activities that you can do! One of the most fun and thrilling experiences is ice skating which is why in this guide we'll tell you all about San Diego’s best ice skating rinks to enjoy this winter.

Remember that ice skating tends to only be available in California during the winter months (and the Christmas season), so don't forget to take advantage of these opportunities! Though California is sometimes known for its warm weather, artificial rinks are set up across many different plazas, shopping malls, and parks to offer all visitors the chance to experience something truly wonderfully winterlike!

Rady Children's Ice Rink at Liberty Station

For 28th year in a row, Rady Children’s Ice Rink is open and raising funds for the Thriving After Cancer program at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

Viejas Casino & Resort

If you're visiting this mountainous area, do not miss the amazing ice rink at Viejas Casino & Resort. This is southern California's largest outdoors ice rink!

Location: 5003 Willows Road in Alpine

Date: Until January 7

Hours: 3 pm - 10pm

Price: Adults & Teenagers - $22 dollars; Children up to 12 years old - $20 dollars

Hotel Coronado

This ice rink features amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and funds raised will be given to Make-A-Wish San Diego. Don’t forget to make a reservation for a Frostbite Lounge by the sea with plush seating, fire pits, and seasonal drinks!

Mira Mesa’s ice rink features artistic skating programs and a skating school for children. Remember to check availability on their website and don't forget to visit! Admission is $20 dollars with skates included.

The amazing ice rink at Westfield UTC Shopping Centre is open for all! Have fun skating at this thrilling ice rink surrounded by dazzling lights while listening to some of pop music's biggest hits. Admission is $30 dollars with skates included.
