Coca-Cola is the most consumed drink during Christmas season, thanks to the company’s campaigns throughout the years that have made the brand synonymous with holiday gatherings and family. As such, every year, the Coca-Cola Caravan comes to Baja California to entertain everyone with a little bit of jolly Christmas spectacle.
A few days ago, the official Coca-Cola website announced the return of its annual caravan set to take place on Wednesday, December 4 in Mexicali. It will be a family friendly event full of fun and holiday cheer where you can watch all kinds of holiday-themed decorated floats.
The Coca-Cola Caravan will begin at 7 PM and its route will be as follows:
- It will begin at Blvd. Lázaro Cardenas
- Av. Benito Juárez
- Calzada Independencia
- It will conclude at Río Nuevo
It should be noted that, so far, a caravan parade in Tijuana and other Baja Californian cities has not been announced yet. It was, however, revealed that it will take place in other Mexican cities such as Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón, Veracruz, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Ciudad Juárez, Nogales, and Puebla.
History of the Coca-Cola Caravan
This Christmas tradition began in the 90s and was inspired by a TV commercial in which Coca-Cola trucks decorated with beautiful lights traveled through snowy landscapes. Thanks to this, this caravan became a symbol of Christmas.
Since then, the Coca-Cola Caravan has taken place in several different cities to share candy, joy, and the Christmas spirit.
