The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, was asked a question during the national morning press conference today after his visit to Baja California.

The president was asked about his point of view regarding the situation with the people of Baja California, one of the most important northern geographical points in Mexico.

The president claimed that the state of Baja California is progressing constantly; that they have a great governor, Marina del Pilar, one of the better qualified governors nationwide with high popular support.

He stated that during his tour of the seven municipalities of the state, the president was able to verify what the polls have been saying about her administration: that she has the approval of Baja Californians.

Lastly, he highlighted that Baja California is one of the states that has managed to reduce poverty rates nationwide during Marina del Pilar's administration.
