Michelin stars are the most important awards by the gastronomic industry for restaurants and chefs, which is why getting one brings recognition to the establishment and its dishes. A restaurant in San Diego has been awarded with another Michelin star.
Addison Restaurant located at Fairmont Grand del Mar obtained its third Michelin star as revealed by the list “2022 California MICHELIN Stars”. It was the only establishment in this ranking that got this number of stars, and it is also the first restaurant in San Diego with this number of stars.
The description of the Michelin winner states the following:
Chef William Bradley’s kitchen, which has set standards, is extremely ambitious and his team is cooking world-class ingredients with exceptional skill, leaving one wishing for more. Their tasting menu is presented gloriously and enhanced by the harmonious application of global flavors.
It should be noted that a Michelin 3-star restaurant is considered one of the best in the world; so much so that some people are willing to pay a trip just to taste their dishes and experience them.
Addison published on their official Facebook page the following message:
Thank you, @michelinguide, for entrusting us with these three stars – stars we share with our San Diego community and all those who have supported and impacted our journey to this moment. There is a quote that has stood the test of time in Addison – “One can only do well what one loves.” Spoken by the great Frédy Girardet, one of the all time gods of gastronomy, it’s a quote that our team looks at daily. Our unrelenting love for haute cuisine and hospitality has driven us for 16 years; it’s at the heart of everything we do, and why we dared to believe these three stars were possible.
The magnitude will never be lost on us. We will treasure them for San Diego and the great state of California with respect for those around the world who led the way.
