Marina del Pilar and other governors elected in the recent elections signed together with MORENA's national president, Mario Delgado, the "Carta Compromiso con la Cuarta Transformación y con el Pueblo de México" (Letter of Commitment with the Fourth Transformation and with the People of Mexico).
The document is called "Carta Compromiso con la Cuarta Transformación y con el Pueblo de México" (Letter of Commitment with the Fourth Transformation and with the People of Mexico), and includes the commitments that MORENA governors will have to respect, such as leading with ethical principles of MORENA oriented not to lie, not to steal and not to betray, as well as to develop an authentic democracy that reduces inequalities and puts the poor as a priority in public administration within the states.
"I pledge to fight for real equality between men and women, against violence against women and any form of discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or social, economic, political or cultural status," she said.
Another of the commitments of the Governor Elect of Baja California was republican austerity and the eradication of corruption and privileges, as she assured that it will be a new way of doing politics that fights all those practices that hinder democracy, while at the same time eliminating repression as an instrument of government.
"The exercise of power only makes sense when it is placed at the service of others, I commit myself to command by obeying", Marina del Pilar added that this is a series of commitments of political ethics that will govern the administration of the state of Baja California for the next six years.
For his part, Delgado Carrillo pointed out that the meeting was fruitful and constituted, among other things, a balance of what happened on June 6, when the people of Mexico endorsed their trust in the Fourth Transformation and in the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
"Thanks to the participation of millions of Mexicans, the Fourth Transformation is consolidated", since the triumph was obtained in 692 municipalities nationwide, 11 out of 15 governorships, the majority in the Chamber of Deputies, as well as in 19 in State Congresses, which are considered historic numbers for the benefit of the movement.
In this sense, Mario Delgado pointed out that as part of the meeting, a series of public policies that distinguish the state governments of the Fourth Transformation were agreed upon, and gave as an example that the Morenista governors will manage a gender agenda to develop a social model that is not violent towards women.
The meeting was also attended by the secretary general of MORENA, Citlali Hernández, the elected governors Víctor Manuel Castro of Baja California Sur, Layda Sansores of Campeche, Indira Vizcaíno of Colima, Evelyn Salgado of Guerrero, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla of Michoacan, Miguel Ángel Navarro of Nayarit, Rubén Rocha of Sinaloa, Alfonso Durazo of Sonora, Lorena Cuéllar of Tlaxcala, as well as the governor elect of Zacatecas, David Monreal.
