Speaking of salsas, they are all house made ranging from their salsa borracha, that actually has some of the pulque in it, to my favorite the salsa verde. There were flautas de barbacoa (lamb rolled tacos), a lamb brains taco, and grilled quail.

Everything that I tried was absolutely delicious, which made it impossible to choose a favorite. Yes, I even tried the lamb brains taco, for those of you that were wondering. They have lamb heads and eyes, as well if you are an adventurous kind of eater.
For those of you not quite at that edge of eating style, the grilled quail was so succulent. You just can't help yourself by trying to get every last bit off of the tiny bones. I won't forget the cactus salad either, that served as a delightful compliment to each of the dishes as well.
Go right ahead and bring the whole family down with you to Aquí es Texcoco. There is not only a great family oriented vibe going on, but the kids menu has been created by organizations that have joined forces to fight against childhood obesity.
