It makes us very proud! Athlete Alexa Moreno makes history by being the first Mexican athlete in getting her own Barbie, as she has become one of the greatest athletic references in our country thanks to her incredible gymnastics talent.
Moreno is part of the 9 high-performance athletes that were immortalized with their own Barbie doll, which also includes figures such as Venus Williams, Mary Fowler, and Christine Sinclair.
Through a statement, the senior vice president of Barbie and global doll director of Mattel, said that the goal of this collection, that is also celebrating the 65th anniversary of the iconic doll, is to recognize "the impact that sport has to boost self-confidence and ambition in the next generation."

For her part, the 29-year-old gymnast motivates girls with the phrase: "The best is to not be afraid to dream and to go for it!", while holding her doll with love and saying how happy it makes her to be part of this amazing project.
Mattel showed these dolls before the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, where some of these women will participate. It should be noted that all of these dolls have their appropriate accessories. For example, Williams’ doll has her visor, racket, and her tennis suit.
