20 Starlink satellites will be launched

Recently, both California and Tijuana have been witnesses to amazing shows in the sky, from a partial solar eclipse to several rocket launches. If you have missed any of the latter, you will have another amazing opportunity to see more this Tuesday.

Learn at what time the new rocket by SpaceX will launch

On its official website, SpaceX updated its space launches and it revealed that on Tuesday, May 14 a Falcon 9 with 20 Starlink satellites will be launched to a low Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 (SLC-4) at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

It is estimated that this launch will be at 9:29 AM with an available backup chance until 1:29 PM. In case it is necessary, there will be additional chances on Wednesday, May 15, starting at 9:06 AM.

This is one of the few occasions in which the launches will take place during the day, which is why it is unknown whether this will affect their visibility. If this is the case, remember that you can watch this event on SpaceX's official X account.

This is flight number 18 of the first mission stage, which has launched missions Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, Transporter-7, Iridium OneWeb, SDA-0B, and 12 Starlink missions. After the separation of the booster stage from the rocket, the first stage of this rocket will land on the drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" in the Pacific Ocean.
