SpaceX will launch 20 Starlink satellites from California with lovers of the night sky having a guaranteed show tonight.
According to official information by SpaceX, the launching is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8 from the Space Launch Complex 4 (SLC-4) at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The Falcon 9 rocket will carry 20 Starlink satellites, 13 of which will be able to beam service directly to cell phones and will reach the low Earth orbit.

The launch is scheduled to start at 7:48 PM Pacific Time, with possible booster opportunities until 10:30 PM, Pacific Time, and additional opportunities on Thursday, May 9, starting at 7:48 PM, Pacific Time.
The live broadcast of this mission will be available on X @SpaceX, approximately 5 minutes before launch.
This launch is the 4th flight for the first stage booster that previously launched USSF-62 and two Starlink missions. After the separation of the booster stage from the rocket, its goal is to land on the drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" in the Pacific Ocean.

Starlink is a project by SpaceX who is looking to offer high-speed Internet to the whole world through a network of low orbit satellites. This system, led by Elon Musk, has as a goal to provide global connectivity, especially in remote areas where telecommunication infrastructure is limited.
