Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, officially inaugurated Expo AgroBaja 2024 in the state capital, Mexicali. This event's goal is to promote the agricultural and farming industry through strategies, activities, and service providers.
Accompanied by representatives of the industry, the state governor toured the units where producers, providers, and service providers exchange ideas to strengthen their businesses and explore technological breakthroughs.
During this tour, she wished the exhibitors success and encouraged the community to enjoy local products, highlighting the quality that has positioned them not only in the regional market, but also national and international ones.
She emphasized that this event represents an invaluable opportunity for all producers, as it attracts investors and providers from different Mexican states and Valle de Mexicali. She said that they have the possibility to explore the agricultural, fishing, artisan, and other types of industrial diversity in the region.
In addition, she pointed out that, in the 24 years of its existence, this event has played an essential role in the continuous development of products and services, contributing significantly to the strengthening of the production chain.
In this edition, the inclusion of a gastronomic pavilion has stood out, as it offers attendants the opportunity to enjoy the culinary wealth of Baja California.
Marina del Pilar was accompanied in this event by representative of the State Congress, Araceli Geraldo; the municipal president of Mexicali, Norma Bustamante; the president of the AgroBaja board, Arturo Elías Lizárraga; the head of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development, Luis Roberto Ayala, and the Head of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development of Mexico, Víctor Manuel Villalobos Arámbula.
