Music has the unique ability to awaken memories and emotions and make us go on a trip through past decades. The combination of sounds, lyrics, and rhythms can introduce us to specific moments, something that connects us to the past, and gives us the possibility to revive memories.
That's why Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT) will become the perfect stage for the return of Salón Tijuana "Dance to Be Alive" at the El Cubo lobby on Friday, February 23 at 9 PM. It will transform this place into a dance hall full of nostalgia where you can relive the hits of the 1970s.
The charm of this event is that it has a musical selection by DJ Giovanni Zamudio who will use his amazing ability to mix the hits of the decade and make of the dancefloor a portal that will take every attendant on a trip through those vibrant days full of music and sequins.
It is not the first time that Salón Tijuana has illuminated the Centro Cultural Tijuana dancefloor with retro themes. There have been events that have left people impressed, and it has become an awaited tradition wanted by dance lovers.
You cannot miss "Dance to Be Alive" and, most important all, preparing your best outfit, so you can show off your best dance moves to shine during this great event. This will be an incredible evening to remember and feel the spirit of the 1970s to the rhythm of music from bands such as The Bee Gees, Earth, Wind & Fire, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Trammps, Chic, The Jackson Five, and Village People, bringing to life a decade that still amazes and excites, despite the passage of time.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth, CECUT shops and online at cecut.gob.mx. Each ticket costs $200 pesos ($12 dollars).
The most iconic dances of Salón Tijuana in 2023
Last year, while celebrating this cultural venue's 41st anniversary, the dancefloor lit up and gave way to an endless amount of rhythms, paying tribute to the most vibrant decades with genres such as jazz, swing, rock and roll, twist a Go-Go, disco, mambo, cumbia, among others.
That event was an oasis of nostalgia where each attendant was able to immerse themselves in the best rhythms of the 20th century.
