He said that these land conditions are mainly present in the municipalities of Tijuana, Playas de Rosarito, Ensenada, Tecate, and San Quintin, so recommendations are mainly for people in these communities.

Víctor Amador Barragán recommended people to drive carefully on highways and roads with high traffic. If rain is constant, driving cars should only be done when it is essential in order to prevent accidents.

The official highlighted that he has followed instructions by Governor Marina del Pilar and through several water agencies in each municipality drainage inspections and desalting of sewers have taken place in order to deal with these weather phenomena. There is also constant coordination with municipal administrations and Civil Protection to address every emergency.

Lastly, he recommended people to keep an eye on reports and information given by official authorities and invited people to report any incident caused by rain to the 073 phone line.
