Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez allocated approximately 8 million pesos to acquire a truck called "Centro de Operaciones Móvil" (Mobile Operations Center), alongside 5 additional vehicular units and 1 drone. These resources will be used to strengthen the capabilities of the Civil Protection (PC) Agency in regards to emergency assistance.

This equipment, designed to guarantee an effective response during emergencies, are now added to the existing Civil Protection resources that are used to safeguard the lives of all Tijuana natives, the mayor claimed.

Accompanied by the head of PC, Miguel Angel Ceballos Ramírez, the mayor said that it is of vital importance for her administration to have the necessary resources to act promptly and efficiently during emergencies.

Alongside the Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Ángel Bujanda Ruiz, she said that this equipment was acquired thanks to Tijuana's good financial administration that allows for Civil Protection staff to address any emergency promptly and timely.

The mayor emphasized that with the delivery of this mobile operations center, Civil Protection will have to respond to incidents in critical situations on land and that it will also function as a mobile office equipped with communication technology.

The mayor added that it will offer all of emergency response teams, such as medical staff, rescue services, and coordination teams, a strong connection on land and on the field, where the main work occurs.

To explain more about this acquisition, senior official, Marcelo Machain Servín, revealed that the new operations center is equipped with state-of-the-art communication technology, which will allow intervention teams to respond in a coordinated and efficient manner in critical situations.

Machain Servín stated that the unit will have a crisis room, which will guarantee the team's safety, as it will be used to monitor 11 active landslides and the 132 homes affected by ground movements.

Besides the truck, they also purchased three pick-up vehicles to move people during missions and two more vehicles for operation work by the Secretariat of the Interior, valued in more than 1.7 million pesos.

With these work tools, "We make not only our Civil Protection, but all of Tijuana, stronger," the mayor said alongside Councilor President of the Commission of Security, José Cañada García.
