Director René Bueno stated: "We had a fascinating experience filming the first Mexican film with a wonderful boy who has autism, Sergio. The movie is a drama whose name is "Lo Que Diga el Corazón" and it tells the story of a father whose life is completely dedicated to his son, until he suddenly faces an enormous challenge.” The script was based on an original idea by Argentinian writers Enrique and Feliciano Torres.
The production team consists of: René Bueno, director and executive producer; Barbarella Pardo, producer and casting director; Lorena González, Jaime Aymerich, and Carolina Aymerich, executive producers; Alberto Lee, photography director; Abel Coronilla, gaffer; Ricardo Carreño, sound engineer; Linda Ruiz, production designer; Elvia Félix, head of makeup; Lorena Aguilar, head of costumes; Border Brothers, grip/electrics; Antonio “Blu” Molina, head of transportation; and catering by Sky Catering.
With locations in Tijuana and acting by Jaime Aymerich, Lorena González, and first actor Roberto Sosa, this movie is about a single father who must make a decision about his son's future before it is too late.
It is estimated that "Lo Que Diga el Corazón" will have a 3-month post-production process, so that it can later premiere in theaters and be sold in digital platforms. Regarding this project, producer Barbarella Pardo said: "I am grateful that I was able to be part of this journey of awareness regarding important issues such as human trafficking and autism. I am committed to deepening my understanding and awareness of this issue that we will explore in our next project. I hope that I can significantly contribute to make it more visible and authentic in our narrative."
