Performer of corridos tumbados, Hassan Kabande, known as Peso Pluma, had to cancel a concert in Tijuana, Baja California, after being threatened by an alleged criminal group.
This incident went viral on social media as photos of several different sheets threatening the singer spread. This is what led to the singer to cancel his performance and keep his fans and his team safe.
Due to people's questions about his future concert in Tijuana, here at San Diego Red we had an exclusive interview with Paco Camarena, promoter of Pars Productions, who said that there was a possibly that a concert of his Doble P Tour in the city could be rescheduled.
"The option is open because the artist hasn't closed off any dates for 2024. Though nothing concrete has been talked about, we hope that Peso Pluma comes to Tijuana soon and if he does, he will make an official announcement," he said.
However, it was said that the possibility of this concert taking place before the end of this year is zero. "So far a date has not been set. It definitely won't happen this year, but we ask his followers to keep an eye on the social media pages of Peso Pluma for when he announces a new concert," he added.
Promoter Pars Productions highlighted the great welcome that this genre has had in the people of Tijuana as he highlights that, previously, concerts by Junior H and Natanael Cano in Tijuana sold out in just a few hours.
"Regarding Peso Pluma, 80% of the tickets were sold, as the capacity is bigger. So, Tijuana is responding very well," Camarena said.
Due to this event's cancellation, fans of this singer have been told that they can ask for a refund.
In case you purchased your physical ticket, one can go in person to the Hotel Real Inn ticket booth #3. Those who purchased their tickets online must go to the following website: funticket.mx.
"As the promoter, I offer an apology due to this issue. We will support you regarding refunds and we thank you for your understanding and trust that allow us to bring artists of this caliber to the city," Camarena ended.
