Due to the arrival of Hilary in Baja California, strong winds and rain has been reported, which is why Tijuana International Airport has released a statement regarding delays and suspensions regarding scheduled flights for Sunday, August 20.
"Dear passengers, due to the consequences of tropical storm #HILARY some flights have been affected in regards to arrivals and departures. We invite you to get in contact with your airline to receive more information," they said on social media.

Though the airport is still operating normally, some airlines have delayed their flights to prevent accidents.
Such is the case with Volaris, as the airline shared on social media a list of information regarding flight changes due to this weather phenomenon.
"We ask that you check your email or, if you have any questions, call us at the following WhatsApp number: 5558988599. For us, your safety is your priority," they added.
On the other hand, if you're flying on Viva Aerobús, it is important to keep an eye on your flight status, as LA airports and Tijuana's airport are showing changes.
According to CONAGUA, this extensive group of clouds from tropical storm Hilary show heavy rain and intense rain chances in the Baja California peninsula and northwestern Mexico. There could also be gusts of wind in these regions and high tide in coastal zones.
