Marina del Pilar reaffirms commitment with rural industry of Baja California

The governor was present at a council meeting to deal with the needs of this primary sector

Governor Marina del Pilar was present at a council meeting alongside the state’s primary sector where they spoke about topics of state interest. In addition, during this session, the governor heard firsthand the needs of this industry.

During the Second State Congress of National Coordination Plan de Ayala (CNPA) of Baja California titled “Afianzando pasos en la organización campesina” (Securing Steps for Rural Organization), the state governor pointed out that cooperation of authorities from the three levels of government is essential to move forward on issues regarding land regularization and water supply raised by coordinators, which is why the implementation of a permanent work council was proposed to resolve them.

The head of the Secretariat of the Interior (SGG), Catalino Zavala Márquez, participated in this congress where he heard the propositions and proposals of the municipal coordinators of CNPA, and after the work councils took place during this event, he reaffirmed “the state government has the commitment and conviction to assist, contribute, and participate by backing and solving the demands and proposals of all organizations and the people at large.”

In addition, Zavala Márquez told the attendants about progress that has been made regarding regularization of lands in the municipality of Tijuana after interinstitutional, federal, and municipal work was carried out to guarantee the certainty of land property to thousands of families.

At this congress, the following people were present: senator José Narro Céspedes; the mayor of Playas de Rosarito, Araceli Brown; Baja Californian congresswoman, Evelyn Sánchez; the head of the Secretariat of Fishing and Aquaculture of Baja California, Alma Rosa García; as well as representatives of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) and the National Agrarian Registry.
