The Fallbrook Avocado Festival is an event that will take place next April 23rd in northern San Diego County where you will be able to delight yourself with the fresh avocados of local farmers, as well as dishes from food and dessert sellers, craft beer, and enjoy a variety of handicrafts and local art.
This event will take place at Village Square Main in Alvarado Street in downtown Fallbrook from 9 AM to 5 PM. Admission will be free, just as it has occurred yearly in the last 70 years thanks to the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and their goal to support local businesses and non-profit organizations in the community.
Among the many activities there will be the traditional guacamole contest, where you will be able to participate with your best beginner or professional recipe and win awards for best presentation and taste. Children will be able to participate to become the next “Mr. and Mrs. Avocado” and you will also be able to explore your creativity and disguise yourself with your best avocado costume and compete in the “Avocado 500” race.
There will also be several food and drink stands, and you will be able to find unique clothing created by local artisans and artists, jewelry, hats, a variety of accessories, avocado trinkets and items, and fresh farm produce and products that you will be able to buy or sample.
There will also be live music at the festival from local bands performing on the outdoor stage. Good news for adults with an ID as well, as there will be beer sales and wine at the Beer Garden.
If you’re interested in participating at this festival as an exhibitor or sponsor, go to the official Fallbrook Facebook page to find out all the details. Otherwise, you can attend and enjoy the avocado festival and contribute to the Fallbrook economy in order to build a better community.
