Do you know about Tortas WashMobile in Tijuana? Then you know that they are great and very popular. This has caught the attention of NOVO Brazil Brewing Company who partnered up with these popular Tijuana native tortas to bring them to San Diego with a pop-up location.
That’s right WashMobile will take their amazing Tijuana flavors to Lane Avenue in Chula Vista once a week, alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays. This will begin on Thursday, February 16, which means their next visit will be on February 21.
It should be noted that the carne asada tortas by WashMobile are very popular in Tijuana and they have been in business for many years. In fact, it is common knowledge that they got their name because they were located in front of a car wash.
How many years have these tortas been in business? They have in business for 60 years since their establishment. Something interesting to note is that Chef Pedro Fuentes (nephew of founder Manuel Hernández) will participate on the first outing by WashMobile in San Diego.
If you live in San Diego or happen to be in the city on Thursdays or Tuesdays and don’t know what to eat, remember that you have this delicious option on the American side of the border.
