Makeup and beauty products are some of the most consumed items in the world; though there are countless of stores in the city that sell them, most of the most famous establishments such as Sephora are not found here. However, this is now a thing of the past, as today the first Sephora store opened in Tijuana.

On Thursday, December 8, the first Sephora branch in Tijuana was inaugurated at Plaza Península. Luis Torres, one of Mexico’s most important makeup artists was a guest of honor. With this Tijuana store, this is the 32nd Sephora store to open in all of Mexico.

On their official Facebook page, Sephora revealed that the inauguration was going to take place on this day. In addition, the first 100 people to arrive were going to be given a very special gift; so far, several posts on social media have been made where one can see that the store is packed.

It should be noted that this store has several renowned makeup, skincare, perfume, and eyeshadow brands such as Laura Mercier, Lancôme, Dior, Fenty Beauty, Givenchy, Huda Beauty, and many more. Previously, the closest Sephora stores to Tijuana were located in San Diego and Chula Vista, which meant that if you didn’t have a tourist visa you couldn’t go there. This means that this new location is ideal for all Tijuana natives.
