Tijuana native fighter Brandon Moreno, current Interim UFC Flyweight Champion, visited Spain to promote LaLiga North America, as part of an association between both organizations whose goal is to promote sports with fans around the world.
This campaign is centered on spreading content on social media, digital outlets, and collaborations through events with athletes and current legends.
Brandon Moreno and Ilia Topuria traveled to Spain where they experienced a LaLiga match, and met with players from Valencia CF and Atlético de Madrid. They also took pictures and videos in order to spread them across the different platforms from LaLiga, clubs, and athletes.
In addition, LaLiga players promoted UFC events on current digital shows. Part of the content includes the podcasts UFC Unfiltered and Entre Asaltos, the Facebook show Fuera del Octágono, and Área de Combate on Twitter Spaces.
The goal is to broaden football and mixed martial arts knowledge between both communities. Their audience is invited to watch UFC events, the pre- and post-coverage of the fight, the narration of the specific UFC fighters who traveled to Spain, messages from LaLiga players supporting different UFC fighters, and content recap after fights.

“LaLiga is one of the greatest and most popular football leagues in the world, and we’re excited to explore the opportunities to cross-promote our sport to their incredible fan base,” said David Shaw, Senior Vice President, International and Content, at UFC. “UFC has a significant Hispanic fan base in the United States, not to mention millions more in Spain, and this relationship is a way for us to engage more with those fans while creating additional value for our broadcast partners, like ESPN+ in the US, by helping to drive viewership of our live events”.
