Halloween is only four days away and a lot of people already have their costumes, plans, and even their trick-or-treat routes. In addition, some people and Tijuana natives prefer to celebrate this holiday in the United States.
Due to this, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents have emphasized that travelers who wish to cross on the weekend of October 31st are not allowed to use disguises and/or makeup that alter their appearance or hide their identity.
They added that this is essential, especially if you are at the port of entry or at the CBP inspection area. They suggested that if you are going be using masks, costumes, or makeup they should be used once the inspection process is finished and once you are allowed into the United States.
It should be noted that they encouraged people about this in order to save time. If somebody tries to cross with makeup or wearing a costume that modify their appearance, it could delay their entry into the U.S. as agents decide whether this person can enter or not.
