The renowned “Princesa Azteca” (Aztec Princess) hung up her gloves after 21 years of boxing. Not only that, but she said goodbye to her sport like a true champion by defeating Argentinian Gloria Yancaqueo and winning the “Diamante Supergallo” title by unanimous decision.

The 42-year-old gave an unforgettable fight in her native city of Tijuana, Baja California at the Fausto Gutiérrez Moreno auditorium. The blows exchanged were powerful and both fighters showed cuts in their faces.

At the end, the Aztec Princess was not able to knock out her Argentinian opponent, but she did manage to win. This meant that during her career she managed to get 40 victories, with 16 of them being by knockout. As for her defeats, she only had four and she had the same number of draws.

After this, she will continue her political career as a federal representative. It should be noted that besides her political job, she is also an architect. According to what she stated to the media, she will miss her life in sports, but it has finally come to an end.
