3 places with pumpkin and Mexican marigold fields to enjoy in Tijuana

Autumn is finally here and as such, an endless number of activities to celebrate the beginning of the season can be done in Tijuana. Children and adults alike can enjoy fields full of the colors of fall, flowers, and beautiful views. The Mexican marigolds (cempasúchil) and pumpkins are some of the attractions that you can enjoy. Down below, we show you three different places located in the city where you can go with your family and enjoy a great day.

Mictlán de Tijuana

Previously known as Cempasúchil Tijuana, this great field of Mexican marigold flowers has changed its name and claims to have a great event with several new features and precious flowers.

This field opened its doors to the public just two years ago. Whenever these flowers open its petals and show their beautiful colors, this area becomes a great tourist attraction. It is not only ideal to take beautiful pictures, but also to get these flowers directly from a local farmer to use them for Day of the Dead altars.

Do you need a reservation?: This year no reservation is required to enter

When can you visit?: It will be open from October 8 to November 6

Cost: $5 dollars ($100 pesos) per person
$2.5 dollars ($50 pesos) for children 12 years old or under

Hours: 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM

Location: Blvd. 2000 in front of Rancho Casián

La Ruta del Maíz

This year, Ruta del Maíz (Corn Route) opens its door with a “Magical World” theme where it promises to show visitors different surprises and all the inspiration behind a magic story. Enjoy with your family its fields, beautiful photoshoot areas, as well as an opportunity to buy their harvest.

Do you need a reservation?: Every week, the dates when you can enter without a reservation is updated on their Facebook page, in case you were unable to make a reservation.

When can you visit?: It is already open.

Cost: $6 dollars ($125 pesos) per person

Hours: Monday to Friday from 11:30 AM to 02:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM

Country Pumpkin Fest

This event takes place on Rancho Casian Tijuana and will bring you the best of autumn in just one place. Every day it will have several surprises including an old-timey machine exhibition, themed stages, interactive farms, pyramids, slides with packs, trampolines, children’s playground, giant inflatable castles, countryside market, and so much more.

Do you need a reservation?: No reservation is required to enter this place

When can you visit?: From September 24 to October 30

Cost: Monday to Friday: $6 dollars ($120 pesos)
Saturday and Sunday: $9 dollars ($180 pesos)
Children 3 years old or under are admitted free of charge
