Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda led the 13th anniversary ceremony of the Center for the Evaluation and Control of Trust of Baja California in order to improve security corporations in the region.

In her speech, the state governor highlighted the importance that the general public trusts the authorities that keep them safe as well as how constant preparation is essential for building a link between society and corporations.

In front of this institution’s personnel, Ávila Olmeda said that the Center for the Evaluation and Control of Trust has become a reference point and example nationwide as it has the strictest quality standards regarding police supervision, technological equipment, and first-rate facilities.

Marina del Pilar underscored that all elements have not only been vouched for, but are also recognized by Mexico’s National Center of Certification and Accreditation.

“But what is most important is that we have a great team of men and women highly qualified in their specialties. Professionals that work with strict adherence to the national model of trust evaluation and control,” she said.

Marina del Pilar gave as an example that the Center for the Evaluation and Control of Trust was the first one nationally that assessed members of the National Guard, following Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s mandate.

Among the activities that are part of this systematic method there are polygraph tests, psychological tests, social and family-related environmental investigations, as well as medical and toxicology exams.

“The key word here is coordination, teamwork, and permanent lateral communication. I want you to know and reiterate that your work in C3 is the first and most essential link in these coordination gears. Because for there to be true communication between security and justice authorities the first thing that there needs to be is true trust,” she stated.

After that, the governor awarded distinguished staff members, highlighting their daily work and commitment to continuously improve police corporations in the state.

At this event the following people were present: Mexicali Mayor, Norma Alicia Bustamante Martínez; Baja California’s Attorney General, Ricardo Iván Carpio Sánchez; Secretary of Citizen Security of Baja California, General Gilberto Landeros Briseño, and the Director of the Center for the Evaluation and Control of Trust, Brenda Valdez Jaramillo.
