Baja Window to the South’s goal is to share with the public everything great about the state of Baja California from its community to its artists, gastronomy, culture, and touristic sites, which are some of the most visited attractions by American tourists who go to different municipalities to have a great time.

To talk about this subject Karla Sing Plascencia, Director of Sibaria Tours as well as board member of the Association of Hosts & Tour Guides of Baja California (ATOPBC) was present. This agency has 10 offices in Mexicali, Tijuana, Ensenada, and Rosarito and she said that each of them is in charge of providing the appropriate information regarding their area to any person that has doubts about their tours.

Among the tours there are different kinds of trips. One can visit Valle de Guadalupe to go wine tasting, go touring to see whale sharks in Bahía de Los Ángeles, or tour through La Chinesca in Mexicali where one can appreciate how Chinese immigrants’ lives used to be in the state capital.

Sing added that ATOPBC receives more than 70,000 visitors per year coming from other Mexican states and the US. This organization’s offices work together and have monthly meetings.

There are also tours that are not so well known such as the helicopter tours that travel over the coast and vineyards and kayaking in order to sightsee La Bufadora. It should be noted that these tours have won awards granted by the Secretary of Tourism due to their outstanding and innovative services.
