Governor Marina del Pilar congratulated San Felipe on its formal status as a municipality.

They are completely acknowledged as the seventh municipality of Baja California as of this Saturday, January 1, 2022, according to state law.

According to state legislation, San Felipe is the seventh municipality in Baja, California, as of this Saturday, January 1, 2022. In light of this, the current Governor, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, commended the residents of San Felipe at a State Congress meeting.

"For all of the residents of San Felipe, 2022 begins with a historic day, as it has officially become the seventh municipality of Baja California," the Governor remarked on social media.

The president reaffirmed her commitment to the people of San Felipe and stated that she would work closely with them to ensure that this is the start of a new era for the residents of that community, who will have more opportunities to boost economic social, and economic activities. They have cultural practices that are a part of their daily lives.

On behalf of Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, the Secretary-General of the State of Baja California, Catalino Zavala Márquez, attended the inauguration of the municipality's management act, which will give rise to new and essential administrative tasks in the local representation.

During an event hosted by the Baja California State Congress, Zavala Márquez emphasized the Administration's desire to better the lives of Sanfelipenses. They have shown to be people with a strong sense of self-determination and origins, deserving of political and institutional coordination.

"Today for Baja California, this event marks the transition that occurs in Baja California building from the bottom with all sectors, in addition to the total of a democratic effort and vocation," stated Zavala Márquez.

Similarly, the state official praised the lawmakers who took part in the municipalization process since it was a transparent procedure that benefited a population that needed mechanisms to bring them closer to public services and advancement in general.

Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda has stated that its public policies would be targeted at improving the economy by examining the unique qualities of each community; thus, subjects like tourism and fishing will be given specific attention in future government initiatives.
