Forbes recently revealed its list of America's Best Colleges 2021, where the University of California San Diego (UCSD) ranks in the top 20, along with other UC campuses such as UC Berkeley, UCLA and UC Davis.

This time around, UCSD, ranked number 15, while UC Berkeley achieved number one, becoming the first public university to rank in this position, after competing with 600 public and private four-year universities in the country.

"At UC San Diego, each and every student has the opportunity, tools and support to pursue their academic passions and create lasting impact," said Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla. "Being recognized as one of the leading public universities by Forbes reaffirms our commitment to providing a world-class education to all students, regardless of socioeconomic background."

As UCSD detailed in a statement, by fall 2021, nearly half (46%) of all undergraduates admitted to its campus come from low-income households. And according to UC San Diego's 2020-2021 student profile, approximately 72% of all undergraduate students are expected to receive some form of financial aid.

It is worth noting that there are 2 thousand 700 institutions selected as the best degree-granting institutions in the United States.
