The Undersecretary of Health, Hugo Lopez Gatell spoke out against parents who, with a protection of the law, vaccinate their children against COVID-19.

During the presidential press conference, the official explained that this situation causes an older person to be deprived of the opportunity to be vaccinated.

"We must not lose sight of the fact that for each dose that, for example, by judicial action, by these protection of law rulings, is diverted to a boy or a girl whose risk is considerably lower, the opportunity is being taken away from a person who is at greater risk".

He took the opportunity to address the authorization of the use of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in Mexico for children between 12 and 15 years of age, alluding that "it is conditioned to the Vaccination Policy considering that age, (...) In due course, based on scientific evidence, it will be carried out".
