4 establishments closed in Rosarito for lack of permits and private security abuse

The State Attorney General's Office carried out an operation in response to several citizen complaints

This weekend, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) closed 4 establishments in Playas de Rosarito that did not have private security permits.

The operation was carried out in response to several citizen complaints about alleged acts of physical violence, abuse and extortion carried out against tourists by private security guards at these nightclubs.

The bars closed were Botanero Veintiuno, Pink Cadillac, Coco Beach Club and Bombay.

With the support of the State Security and Investigation Guard, the National Guard and the Secretary of National Defense proceeded to close the places last Friday.

The businesses will reopen once the requirements to perform private and auxiliary security functions are fulfilled with the corresponding permit. The owners will have 10 days to comply with what is established by law.
