The mayor of Tijuana, Karla Ruiz Macfarland has as one of her priorities the economic and tourism reactivation in the city, which is why she will support different organizations to promote these important sectors for the municipality.

As part of the support provided for the reactivation of the economy, the Municipal Government, headed by Karla Ruiz, in coordination with the Tourism and Convention Committee of Tijuana (Cotuco) plans to hold an exhibition on Revolucion Avenue, the "Expo Turismo Tijuana y la Mega Region".

This event is intended to promote the most outstanding and important tourist attractions of Tijuana and the Baja California region, such as the Wine Route in Valle de Guadalupe, or some traditional sites such as Puerto Nuevo in Playas de Rosarito.

A total of 60 exhibitors will be present at the event to showcase the various tourist attractions of the city and its surroundings. The event will take place this Friday, July 9 and will include tastings and some companies dedicated to tourist tours will be offering great promotions to attendees.

However, this is not the only event or initiative that the City Council has unveiled that aims to promote regional tourism. In fact, they are also focusing on the cultural spaces in the city and, once again together with Cotuco, the "Circuito de Museos de la Zona Centro" was presented at the Tijuana Wax Museum.

And what is this circuit about? It is a group of five places that have the history and development of the city of Tijuana as a common theme. These museums are the Wax Museum; Muhti; 1889 TJ; Mucoti and Mullme; and the Tijuana History Museum.

These are some of the actions that will contribute to the reactivation of tourism in the region, now that Tijuana's traffic light is in green color of the epidemiological traffic light chart and the population is on its way to reach herd immunity.
