Amazon announced the reopening of a new shipping center in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, in order to improve delivery service in the northwest region of the country and be closer to its customers. As a result, some of the orders may even arrive the same day of purchase.

And where will this new distribution center be located? According to Amazon personnel, it will be located in Otay Centenario and is expected to be open by the end of 2021. In addition to this, they shared that the warehouse will be quite large.

This means not only good news for Amazon users, but also for Tijuana residents, since this opening will also offer new jobs for citizens and not only in the delivery area, since they will have areas of operations, human resources, security, finance, among many others.

This same year, Amazon will open other distribution centers, in addition to the one located in Tijuana, Baja California. These will be located in Yucatan, State of Mexico and Sonora. The openings will support the creation of more than 10 thousands 500 jobs in Mexico. In total there will be 11 shipping centers in the country.
